Concerns about custody and child abandonment

I’m struggling with gaining custody of my son. It seems like CYS is deliberately hiding information about the mother not having custody of her older children. Plus, her younger daughter’s custody was awarded to the father back in 2018, and there’s been no contact since. This is against a court order that prohibits having the child around the father’s partner, who is a convicted child abuser. Am I wrong to think this is a serious custody issue that needs to be addressed?

That sounds really concerning. If there are court orders being violated, you definitely have grounds to raise these issues in court.

You’re not wrong at all. This is a serious situation, especially with the child’s safety at stake. Have you talked to a lawyer?

Document everything! If you have proof of the mother’s situation and the court orders, that could really help your case.

Yes! Keeping a record of all communications and incidents will be crucial if this goes to court.

CYS should be held accountable if they’re not acting in the best interest of the child. Consider contacting a child advocacy group for support.

I hope you find a way to get this sorted out. The safety of your son should come first!
