It’s not that I changed my mind just because—I’m scared he won’t return him. Lying about filing makes me trust him even less.

Nothing has actually changed. You were always going to have to work out custody, whether you agreed or had to go to court. If you can figure it out between yourselves, the judge will likely approve it.

If you come across as uncooperative, it won’t help your case. Courts won’t give full custody to one parent unless there’s a serious reason. But if you make it look like you’re keeping the baby from him, that could work against you.
