Hey everyone, I’m looking for advice on getting a divorce in Oklahoma without hiring a lawyer. I really want to avoid the legal fees if possible. IDK where to start, so any tips or resources would be super helpful. Has anyone done this before?
Yeah, you can actually file on your own. There are forms available online that you can fill out.

Oh nice, do you know where I can find those forms?

Check the Oklahoma state court website. They usually have all the forms you need.
Make sure to read up on the requirements though. Each state has its own rules.

That makes sense. I’ll do some reading to understand what I need.
You might also want to consider mediation if you and your spouse can agree on terms. It’s usually cheaper.
