My estranged husband, from whom I’ve been separated for almost two years, had our daughter for the weekend. On Saturday morning, he showed up at my father’s condo and found me with another man, while our daughter was in the backseat of his car. He called the police, but since it was his weekend, they couldn’t take action. He then went to the magistrate and obtained an emergency protective order, claiming I’m mentally unstable and that our daughter is harmed in my care. This order has been extended for 15 days, with a court date set for the 30th.
I have proof that his claims are false and a competent attorney representing me. I am a full-time stay-at-home mom and deeply miss my daughter. My husband’s actions seem motivated by jealousy, and he was recently arrested for assaulting his pregnant girlfriend. My attorney is confident the order will be dismissed, but I am terrified and worried that my daughter might think I’ve abandoned her.
Pay attention to your attorney. He has to provide evidence of it. Most of us deal with them, and they’re bad. Although awful now, it won’t stay forever.
@Juega Who is in charge here? Attorney or baby father? My daughter is sorely missed. It has been nine days since I left my couch. It’s like I’m drowning in her stuff. I’ve been passing the time by watching Dexter. May she know that her mother adores her. I also have the video of him following me around on the date night.
I experienced the same circumstance. The judge will inform the father that all he did was wrong and that it’s unfortunate that he didn’t spend more time with his children. I’m a guy, and I experienced this. The judge just made fun of my ex in court. Sadly, aside from that, nothing was done. Forgot my kids’ birthdays as well. Assuming the information above is real and correct, you should be able to go through this. Remain resilient!
