[CA] - Help, I can’t find this information anywhere

Hello,

I’m in California, specifically Riverside County. I just filed a guardianship petition for my nephew using e-filing. I’m wondering how I will hear about a court date and when I can expect that information?

If additional information is needed, how will I find out? When you file in person, you get a court date immediately, but I’m concerned about the e-filing process. I really don’t want to risk missing anything.

You should have e-filed with an email address. Check your email for the file-stamped documents and any Notice of Hearing. If you haven’t received anything, call the courthouse business office to verify if your petition was correctly e-filed and if a hearing is scheduled.

I believe you set the hearing yourself. It’s best to call the court clerk; they will guide you on the next steps.
