Hey folks… I’ve been curious about this. Can a mother actually deny visitation rights to the other parent? I know it’s a complicated issue, but I’d love to hear what others think or have experienced.
Yeah, they can, but usually it has to be for a good reason, like safety concerns or something. It’s not just a simple no.

Totally get that. But what counts as a good reason? Like, is it just about the kid’s safety?
@SarahLawson
Pretty much! If there’s any risk to the kid, like abuse or neglect, that’s a valid reason.
I think communication is key. If both parents can talk things out, it usually helps. But if things are tense, it can get messy.

Right? It’s tough when emotions run high. Sometimes people don’t see the bigger picture.
@Zariah
Exactly! Keeping it civil is hard but important for the kids involved.
I’ve heard that courts usually encourage visitation unless there’s a really serious issue. They want the kid to have a relationship with both parents.

Totally! It’s all about what’s best for the child. But it’s a fine line sometimes.
IDK, I think if a mom denies visitation, it can lead to legal problems down the road. Better to figure it out together.

For sure! It’s way easier to work things out than deal with court stuff later.
I think it’s really case by case. Some moms may feel they have to protect their kids, while others just want to control things.

Yeah, it’s complicated. Each situation needs to be looked at individually.
