How do I prove lies in court... anyone know?

Hey, I’m wondering what typically happens when you can prove that the other side lied in court. I’ve got some solid evidence and my attorney says we can call the person back and cross-examine them. Anyone been through something similar? What can I expect next?

Yeah, they’ll probably be called back up to testify again. Once you point out their lies, the judge will lose trust in them. It’s pretty much game over for their credibility.

That’s what I thought, thanks! I think it’ll work in my favor, especially since they’ve lied so many times.

Sounds like a solid plan. The judge might also take the lies into account when making their decision. But yeah, your attorney should have a good strategy for this.

Yeah, we’ve been working on this strategy for a while. Hope it all comes together soon!

If you can prove they lied, their whole case might crumble. I’ve seen that happen before. Definitely try to make sure everything is documented so you can show the judge.

Definitely keeping everything documented. Hopefully, we can knock this out in court.

What do you mean by ‘prove up the lies’? Does that mean you can call them back in to tell their side again?

Yeah, exactly. You can bring them back to the stand and ask about the lies. Then you can show the judge how their testimony doesn’t match the facts.

Got it! That makes sense. Thanks for explaining!

I’ve been in a similar situation. If the lies are bad enough, the judge might even start to question everything they say. It can definitely be a huge advantage.

Yeah, that’s what I’m hoping for. Thanks for the insight!
