How do I stop an order for someone who passed away... any advice?

Hi everyone, I’m in a tough situation. My wife just passed away, and I need to stop an order for Dennis Petersen that’s coming up. The next order is set for Dec 1, and I’m not sure how to handle this. Any ideas on what steps I should take? I also need to make sure I handle everything correctly. Please help me out if you’ve been in a similar situation… thanks!

I’m really sorry to hear about your loss. For stopping the order, I’d recommend reaching out to the company directly. It sounds like you already contacted someone, but maybe confirm they’ve put the hold in place just to be sure.

@Noe
Yeah, contacting them directly is a good idea. They might need a death certificate or something like that to process it.

Thanks, I didn’t think about the death certificate. I’ll call them again and make sure everything’s set. Appreciate it!

Sorry to hear, that must be tough. If the company’s not helping, you could try sending a demand letter. Basically, explain what happened and ask them to stop the order. If they still don’t do anything, you could take it further or even post a review to get their attention.

@Barbara
I hadn’t thought of sending a demand letter. I’ll give that a try. Thanks for the tip!

For situations like this, I’d also suggest looking into complaints with the state attorney general’s office or the Better Business Bureau. It’s a free option and might speed things up.

That sounds like a good route too. I’ll check with both of those. Thanks for the advice!

My cousin went through something similar and used online reviews to get things moving. The company didn’t want a bad review, so they settled quickly. Just a thought!

Wow, didn’t know reviews could help with something like this. I’ll try that too if I need to. Thanks for the heads up!

Definitely keep all your records, especially any communication with the company. That’ll be helpful if you need to escalate it.

I’ve been keeping everything, just in case. Thanks for the reminder!
