Hey, I’m using Divorce.com for my Colorado divorce and I’ve got a couple of questions about the forms they’ve helped me fill out. Specifically, Form JDF 1111SC (Sworn Financial Statement)—do I need to complete the detailed budget info before submitting the form, or is that something I do after the case is filed? Anyone else been through this?
Hey, yeah, you need to complete all the sections, including the detailed budget, before submitting. The court needs a full financial picture right from the start. That way they can make any temporary decisions if needed.

Ohh, got it. I was thinking I could wait till after the case is filed, but that makes sense. Thanks!
Same here, I had to do that. It’s a bit of a pain, but it’s pretty standard to make sure the court has everything upfront.

Yeah, exactly. It makes everything easier later on when you’ve got all the financial stuff sorted already.
I’m also in Colorado and was wondering the same thing. Glad to get the clarification here. Thanks!
Thanks, everyone! I wasn’t sure if I had to do all the details now or after. Sounds like it’s better to just get it done now.
Yep, definitely better to have all your stuff ready upfront. Saves time later if things are already clear for the court.
